In the 1990s, a team of researchers from Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) and the IVF Swedish Institute of Production Engineering Research explored how modularization drove success for companies like Sony, Honda, and Scania. Their findings led to the creation of a structured approach to modularization, forming the foundation of Modular Management in 1996.

Over the years, we developed groundbreaking methods to quantify product complexity and optimize modular manufacturing. Today, we offer over 20 methods, 70+ tools, and purpose-built SaaS solutions, supporting businesses in mastering modularity and configuration.

Now a global company headquartered in Stockholm, with operations in Sweden, U.S., Japan, Germany and the Netherlands, we’re proud to have empowered industry leaders like Whirlpool, Ericsson, ABB, and Volvo. We were born modular!
