To tackle these issues, Bosch Home Comfort launched a modularity program in collaboration with Modular Management—delivering transformational results:
60% fewer individual parts, 40% reduction in inventories, 50% reduction in assembly times, 66% less production space and 75% fewer production personnel. In addition, a simplified design increased energy efficiency, reduced noise levels and generated 5 new patents. Product costs decreased by 44% and led to a significant increase in profitability and competitiveness combined with double-digit market growth after the introduction of the new product line.
