Lars graduated as an engineer and worked for ASEA as Managing Director of its subsidiaries in Colombia and South Africa starting in 1967. He became President of ASEA Skandia in 1976 and Executive Vice President of Saab Scania in 1981. He was President and CEO of Incentive AB and Alfa Laval AB starting in 1984, and in 1991 he became president and CEO of Saab Scania. In 1996 he became Chairman of Morgan Crucible. Currently, he is Chairman of the Board of Rejlerkoncernen AB and Lagerkvist International AB. He is also a Board Member for Antrop AB, Sagentia Group Plc and AB Ludvig Svensson.
